Today I will be reviewing the Sapphire HD 4850. We will look at the card specs, it's stock performance, and finally it's overclocked performance.

-512MB /256bit GDDR3 memory interface
-Single Slot Active Cooler
-HDMI compliant via dongle

-7.1 Audio Channel Support
-Microsoft DirectX 10.1 support
-Shader Model 4.1 support
I bought this card this past summer, I was bored one Friday evening so I decided to see what kind of benchmarks I can get with it. And also my X1900 GT was getting old. I paid $220 cdn. + taxes. This is a very affordable price for this card. Let us see what this card can do then.
This is the box the card came in, it's pretty compact, but it protected the card well. The front cover shows a minimum of product info and shows a virtual girl that looks like she is meditating right before going to kick some ass. The right hand side of the box describes all the system requirements to use the card. On the back of the box you get a small list of the card's features, and what's inside the box.

Now let's see what we get inside the box. There are 2 DVI to VGA connectors (only 1 is pictured), required if you are still using a VGA monitor. There is one adapter for : Tv-Out with S-Video, a R-B-G cable, a molex to 6 pin power adapter, 1 DVI to HDMI adapter and 1 Crossfire connector. This card is HDCP ready and HDMI compliant, hence you can view Blu-Ray discs with it. Included is also the cd with the ATI catalyst drivers (version 8.5). You can get version 8.12 now available on ATI's website. And you also get a skimpy quick start guide in several languages. Sapphire also includes a small sticker, which you can place on your rig to proudly display what is powering your pc's graphics.

Now onto the card itself...
